What a stunning day here today. Was out painting the face all day and spotted many bees.

The brugmansias are cuttings off cuttings off my avatar.  They should all come pink.  The trumpets are about a foot long. My mum has a yellow one as well.  The ones in my greenhouse still look like sticks, but they always come back. think of them like a tender buddleja. cut it down in Autumn (and shove the cuttings in a jar of water), overwinter on the dry side and frost free, then when it sprouts, feed it and water well, and give it a sunny position.

We ended up with a lovely sunny afternoon too, but a bit windy, got the towels dry though image

I don't think we'll get the temperatures of down south tomorrow but some sunshine at least would be nice image

Its been sunny here this afternoon. I have taken cuttings off my white daisy argyranthemum. The amazing thing is that I took them from plants that have been in the garden alll winter, instead of the one I lifted and kept inside.

I've also potted up some more torchwood aquilegia seedlings. Dunno where I'm going to put them all.image

I suppose someone will take them off my hands. image

Don't forget GW is back at 8.30 on Beeb 2

Loads of cranes have just flown over the house, but getting too dark for a photo. They make a lot of noise.

More pruning this afternoon. Just can't reach all of Mme Alfred Carrière so she'll just have to wave about above the pillar she's attached to. Grass getting very long, but seems to have died under the copper beech and turned into moss under the acacia.

Forecast is sun for the next few days, 18° on Sunday. Sometimes it snows in March!

Having Steak Diane tonight with rosties and asparagus - which has suddenly gone down in price at the supermarket.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
