So long as the knitting's not too frayed DD - or you either! image

Hope your OH is feeling a bit more like himself now too. You've had a lot to cope with recently. How is Shadow getting on - have you seen him?

  • OH is a bit more himself and has taken a few bike rides by way of exercise, not really anything too energetic but at least it means he is considering the idea that exercise might be important. Steady away I suppose. image

Funny you mentioned Shadow, when it snowed this morning I had an awful moment of missing him, we only had snow once whilst we had him and he loved it. He is fine though and I have seen him a couple of times, he has really filled out, all the puppyness has gone out of him and he looks like a real Labrador now, so obviously fit and healthy so can't be too sad. image

I'm happy with knitting too GG but not too clever at the sewing up bit. image

Morning everyone. Having just read back 3 pages, I can't think what to say. Slept heavily and still feel a bit thick in the head. Hope you all get to sleep soon - pudding, knitting and sewing allowing. I keep thinking about your injured son, but know it will take time, so hoping he keeps improving.

What is the knitting project? I'm still playing with my little dolls. I've started adding various hats on some of them, with a crochet hook, and it seems that customers in the gallery like then. I sold 6 last month which is unusual. The trouble is that the grocery store in the arcade has closed and the space has been taken over by a clothing factory for storage, so the only shops left open are a bakery, a little cafe, a hairdresser and our little gallery stuck up the back, not many people passing through.

we are noticing that this is a common theme in the whole town. Lots of businesses have closed and there are empty shops all over. Most customers restrict themselves to the large supermarkets or buy online. The Post Office always has a long queue. Never mind, that is the modern version of progress.

Wondering how Punkdoc and his OH are coping and also if Verdun has been frozen. Must let you all get to sleep, so good night all.image

Still early here for some of us Pat image

Well, what a day. Heard from my mum that her brother died last night. Very sad. Funeral is next week so I will be having a trip to Scotland.

To add to this, one of my new boots broke so I will have to send them back image

Normally I manage without heating in the morning Dove, but this morning was just a bit of a shock image

Hello Panda. Sorry to hear about your uncle. Hope the trip to Scotland isn't too sad. Hubby's auntie (the last of that generation for him) died two weeks ago in Melbourne. He wasn't able to go to the funeral, but has been on the phone to the two sons a few times talking and supporting them. image

Thank you Pat x Please pass on ((hugs)) to your hubby.

Mum and Dad have gone up already to support my Aunt. Just hope mum is ok, as it's her brother. I'm sure she will, she's very stoic.

Just thought I would check in with all you lovely people.

Things not great here, OH very up set about losing her job, even though she hated it and the commuting was a pain.

I am a bit down, but mainly because elbow is stopping me doing things, struggle to lift a saucepan at the moment.

VVery pleased to hear the news about your son RB and pleased your OH seems to be better DD. Hope your news is good too Chicky.

I don't feel a lot like posting at the moment, but will try to pop in from time to time.

    Thanks for your friendship everyone.
