Ha ha KEF, I should have realised someone would say that Two leaves broken and 2 flowers I knew she had been up to something last night when she cam in with soil on her nose but it was too dark to see
Oh poor Hound! I will rehome her where she can romp the lawn in a garden void of hellebores but has plenty of areas that I could do with the help digging!! How is she at coming to work and keeping my feet warm under the desk? Could she be trained to chase certain people away from my office?
Checked my propagator this morning to see that two Roma tomato seeds have gone crazy overnight and a Dave tomato seed is poking its head through. Hurrah!! Hoping they might convince the chillis to do the same.
It is great isnt it Dove, when I took the covers off the propagator this morning there were little Rudbeckia and Gaura staring back at me.
No matter how long I have been gardening, until the moment I actually see the seedlings I think that they are not going to germinate. When they do I get some sort of endorphin rush, like I have just finished some exercising.
By the way, morning everyone, I am just in for coffee, having been pruning [ hacking ] some wayward shrubs.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I'm still undecided as to whether or not to grow sweet peas this year. I guess if I erm about it much longer that's the decision made for me! I did notice my peas are starting to come up (I'd forgotten I'd put some in pots) - had best start planning what to do with them before the pigeons find them. I can't wait until I get that vegetable patch sorted it would make life much easier! Unfortunately most weekends this month are booked up so it'll be a while yet
Not been here for a few days so not even going to attempt to catch up.
Yesterday I just sat on a bench in my garden and looked at it, Cat on my lap, dog at my feet, blissful.
Gave me time to assess what has been done as well as what needs to be done. It was good as like quite few on here it is a new garden. I looked and realised the shrubs and plants are finally beginning to fill out and it looks less like a plant nursery and more like garden.
Still loads to do, new things to make and parts to continue to develop. I think just sitting and looking is something I don't do very often.
Did end up planting out my new hellebores and a new rose which I have had since just before the rains began last year.
Oh and as for dogs - mine has decided that where crocus, daffodils and fritlillaries are coming though is the best place to lie down
Dovefromabove is nice to know your parents are satisfied with the way their lives are going and it sounds like they are in a perfect place. And your Dad was in the RAF well he must have come in contact with Canadian pilots.Best I could do was the Canadian infantry.

Clari, Dave will help them along
Hopefully KEF! I do love seeing lots of little seedlings on the windowsill.
I can see another sweet pea seedling emerging - that's two so far
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
