I've not attempted to look back at the posts too  much - I'd be here till midnight and then I'd forget everything anyway! Hope the weather is kind for the move Liri. It always helps. Doubt if my local GC has ever sold anything bare root and I don't think I could totter round anywhere in heels nowadays.

No chance of any gardening here and I'm perfectly happy with that, but all the bulbs have been pushing through in the last few weeks and the greenery on the back fence and little adjoining border is cheery. Lots of flowers on the native primulas so a nice little burst of colour for these short dark days. image

Verd - I know you have a strong will -  for instance, you never give in to temptation when there's cake around....image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Funny you should say that, Lesley...  OH and I will be going to Ireland overnight on Monday-Tuesday, to help with the furniture etc when it arrives on Wednesday - and are staying on for a week in a B&B nearby.  image  (We usually have our annual holiday in Jan-Feb, in Madeira, so this is a kind of substitute...)

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

You keep safe there Verd!! Wet and windy here: but I guess it was risky eating that pate.

Partner is working very late tonight. Its 19:09 and there's no sign of his return. I'm afraid dinner is... fish fingers! I am never motivated to just cook for myself.

At what time is it acceptable to climb into bed? There's nothing on the television and I'm refusing to do the cleaning I swear this house has dust pockets it releases when your back is turned. (I know: I am so rock and roll).

    Hello folks imageimage

All of you over in the west, the best thing to do if storms threaten is to go to bed with a wind up or battery powered radio, a couple of flasks of coffee or hot chocolate, some extra blankets and hot water bottles and a big plate of doughnuts.  You are then guaranteed to survive anything the weather can throw at you.

I'm back from visiting the Aged Ps ... Ma doesn't have new teeth yet - Bro had misunderstood - at least two more appointments after today are needed.  Today was about more impressions and measurements and the choosing of the colour.  The dentist told Ma she could have any colour she liked.  Ma looked more than a little confused imageimage  Having ascertained that he didn't mean blue, pink or purple, we looked at some samples and managed to steer away from Donnie Osmond Sparkle and have settled on something quite natural looking.  Phew!

Anyway, I had quite a good visit with them, Ma was quite jolly even if confused about a lot of things. Pa was looking quite good and was eating a good lunch while Ma was being seen by the dentist. Then Ma joined Pa to have her lunch and I left and went and had a little picnic in the car on the seafront near the pier. The sea was steel grey and almost flat with just a slight swell, and there were little flocks of gulls and other seabirds floating on the surface - absolutely beautiful and so calm.
