  • Oh & BL meant to say thank you for the lovely compliments this after morning. The pics do look good, but I always worry the reality might be a let down, the floors creak terribly and the ceilings in the bedroom are awfully low - I manage to bang my head on a beam everytime I clean up there - & I am used to them - obviously not knocking any sense into me. image

Got guests coming this week so will be another test for the advert & Shadow, they are from a farm near Dorking so I am hoping they will be used to animals - fingers crossed! image

Lived near Dorking when I was a child.

Been a grey, cold, drizzly day. No gardening, but took down all the decorations and tree and hoovered. Then went for a walk with dog, but only half an hour because of weather and dog was limping a bit. He's 12 and has arthritis, but he loves going for walks.

I hope your stream behaves punkdoc, but last winter was exceptionally wet.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Lovely pics DD.

We're having pizza for tea too. Good shopping trip Kef.

Hope you're feeling better Pdoc x

    Evening all

Thanks Runnybeak. Trip to Wyvale to hunt out the potatoes I want at the weekend then .  I was going to get them online but the cost of postage is about the same as the  spuds!!

Pretty awful day today. Lots of rain although fairly mild.

Mmm, pizza for tea - love pizza. Save me a bit SGimage.

Jambalaya for tea here. Can smell the choritzo from hereimage

Supper here is little jacket potatoes with prawns and marie rose sauce (cheat's home-made) and Baby gem lettuce.

Just got back from a trip to the other side of the city to buy an iphone via Gumtree - first time I've used Gumtree - seems very successful.  Now I've just got to get Virgin to send me a new sim card as my old one won't fit.

  • Thanks Edd! I let it drain a bit- I haven't checked though. I'd better have a look and have a dig about with my marigolds! I'll let you know if I find any of the little beggers. I hope they have, I've fed them lots of peelings and coffee grounds before I left for christmas!

Another fairly boring day today- very grim and grey out. Very drizzly, just a typical english winter day. Quite a good one though- got a result back and I got a very high mark, and A3!!! Very happy me! Then it was to work where I have done almost wet FA for 8 hours, very very boring so I applied for a local graphic design job and caught up with my emails.

    How is everyone tonight?

  • Hello everyone.......I went to work I and it was dark, don't think it got light all day but I came home and it was also dark, still had a wander up the garden though image

I am pleased to announce that the VAT return is at last done, sent off and I will await payment in about 2 weeks......note to self to be more organised!

I really could do with a glass of wine tonight, for medicinal purposes of course - my ears are hurting and I have a head cold image
