Kef, the la enders are stoewotsit (French type) so will definitely have mega face on with me for being left out. Brugmansia has gone into the garage but not got around to doing any cuttings. So so lazy ( aka busy) this autumn!

Morning all, very cold, but sunny.

Congratulations Dove, today is also the 23rd anniversary of my arriving in Sheffield. First night I was on call, and covering the Burns Unit.

    Porridge for breakfast sounds good.

Is it really bonfire night already? My brain is still on summer time.

Some of the bulbs I planted in pots before I went away are already up. Dahlias are still flowering. No frost here last night.

Lots to do today. See you later, folks.

    So do I.

    3° this morning.

Will be on Granny duty at lunchtime. But the farmers are driving into town with their tractors to protest about something, so the roads will be merry hell! Will have to find a country way. Son has Wednesdays off as it's his wife's busiest day (orthodontist), so he looks after their baby. But he has an appointment today. In France a lot of Primary schools have Wednesday off and Secondary schools have a half day. Most of DIL's patients are children.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • I have just picked Charlie up from school, he finishes at noon, really not keen on Wednesdays, never enough time to really get stuck into a job.He has Judo at 2pm and then I go out running with the athletic club at 6:15pm so a very bitty day for me. Also very chilly start and the mist hung around for a long time, not very inviting, think this is the coldest day I have experienced here so far. image

Have put a lovely stew in the slow cooker ready for later and it does smell delicious, also eaten left over rice pudding I made the other day, can't beat home made, the skin is my favourite bit, all very creamy and nut-meggy, need the strength for running club. image

Hope the teething has settled down a bit for you BL. image

Happy Anniversary Dove & Punkdoc, bet you have never been so busy this last year Dove, I wonder how I ever had time to work before we came here. image

All the Cannas and Dahlias are now out of the ground, the cannas in pots, and the Dahlias in the porch drying, the OH does not like this!

    Still sunny, but very cold.
