Unfortunately, Lesley, I (a) have a lot to carry (b) have to be there by tomorrow afternoon and (c) am terminally lazy.  And (d) my bike is 200 miles away.  Great idea otherwise image

Now, Monty said to take Pelargonium cuttings now so I'll try that and see if my success rate is better than last year.

Hi Forkers,  Verdun, I bet the shop owed you money when you had finished!

Chicky Ive got Caryopteris Kew Blue in flower at the moment and its georgeous this year.

Fidget, don't know what Acidanthera is but I'm fairly sure that I haven't got one in flower or otherwise.

I've replanted two pots today for the Autumn, the Summer flowers were past their best so I've taken cuttings from the Pelargoniums, trimmed back the Nemesia and hopefully they will survive in the greenhouse. I used Imperata Cyllndrica Rubra 'Red Baron', heathers Bonnie and Theresa and a few pansies.

tomato avalanche-slow roasting with garlic and olive oil and into the freezer.             steve309 have you ever- i do this every year. wait until cold nights(but no frost)has stopped new growth-cut them back by about half-or not-shake all the soil off the roots-hang them upside down in a cool, dark dry place-friends of mine just hang them on clothesline in the basement but i put them in brown paper bags to hold the leaves. in the spring pot them up place them in the shade until they sprout. if there are any i particularly like i do cuttings then.
