Morning all. Congratulations to Dove's parents and happy birthday to your dad tomorrow.

Tracy, my OH was 72 last week and he started teaching himself the piano about 3 years ago because he had joined a choir and wanted to learn the music and he started piano lessons last year. He's getting on really well and enjoys it. But in our house it's me who sows seeds and looks after the garden, except for the mowing.

Grass needs mowing badly, but ground is like a wet sponge.

I will be staying with my daughter for two days (near Poitiers) so I won't be posting from tomorrow. She has 3 small sons. (Granny visit)

Thank you, Mrs. Garden. Will be tiring though, the boys have a lot of energy. We're going to the swimming pool.

    Morning all.

Heavy frost this morning, sunshine and showers today, so sould get some more garden stuff done today.

Some new Dahlia tubers arriving today from Rose Cottage plants. Have used them for a while and am always pleased. They stock a huge variety, check them out, if you need some new ones.

Pdoc, when should I expect my Meconopsis grandis to show some life?  It's in a pot in a cold GH.

Always wished i'd learnt to play the piano. My nan had one, when i was a child i used to 'plonk' away, must have driven her barmy! Lol. Only ever got as far as 'chopsticks'!

Hi KEF, my Meconopsis plants in the border are not showing yet either. I always worry about them as it took me so long to get them established. I do have some seed sowed in the autumn, which are starting to germinate, although they wont be ready to flower until next year.

Spoke too soon about the weather, it is now hoeing it down.
