Recipe???? Can't think of anything else but then I have got my Saturday night head in and my brain goes a little sleepy
Just thought if say that this month's mag is really good, some great ideas for me to try and I'm going to replant my front door planter Has anyone seen the 'free' offer this month, looks like a good deal...any thoughts or advice for the newbie?
You got it Tracey! I could give quorn a go but never used it ( not for years anyway)so bit scared ill need to tinker around to umphh up the flavour. Thanks for all suggestions, will try very hard to avoid veggie pizza!
Also got to feed teenager who doesn't like ' that sort of thing'! Starve then my love is my usual response - but in 'company' ??
My GH is 10'x6' but the 'shed' is glazed and has a polycarbonate roof, Busy-Lizzie, so doubles-up for growing stuff and I've just erected a 4x2m polytunnel. I'll still run out of space though as (like many of us here) my 'seed eyes' are bigger than my belly!
I always grow a few Ferline, scroggin, and those do seem pretty resistant but the taste is nothing special although still miles better than anything in the shops though! Sungold also do well for me outside, too.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
Good morning all Brilliant sunny morning here in Norfolk - temp down to 1.4C overnight - think it'll be lower tonight according to the forecast but they're only saying 0C, so I've probably panicked a bit by fleecing the fig, but the baby figs have started to swell and I'm looking forward to sitting out there and picking warm figs for breakfast again, so I don't want to risk them.
Talking of figs, have we heard from Alan 4711 lately? Wondering whether he's busy with sowing seeds etc, or whether his spinal problem is preventing that sort of activity - think he's hoping they're going to operate soon. Rotten thing for that to happen just as he moved house!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Lovely sunny morning here too. But they forcast a very cold evening-the coldest since November with a frost over night. Think I'll put off planting my few little plants I got during week.
Will get out there and tidy a little OH off to golf
Fig tree sounds lovely Dove, is it in a pot and do you bring it in over winter?
Think our olive tree might be coming back in tonight
