Lovely here, apart from a short hailstorm. Done lots more weeding and tidying and discovering new shoots. Decided to leave operation GH move til next weekend - seemed silly to have things exposed for the night when frost is forecast. But hope we can do it next weekend - i have lots of dahlia tubers to get in pots, and don't want to do it til GH is settled.
Had a result on some bareroot heleniums i ordered - meant to be three, and there were only two in the pack. They sent me a replacement - but sent another 3pack - which this time had 4 plants in. So now i have 6. Maybe their packers can't count. They are Sahins early - never grown that sort before, but my others flower non stop all summer
Sorry others have been dodging showers - but glad barge trip was good. Just watched the CK clip - great stuff, David K
I now have a GH base, not a lot done as I was also today's taxi service to/from varies places but at least it's a start and OH has promised to get on with the rest tomorrow
Sounds like a good day has been had by all with GC trips, boat trips and various DIY jobs
Just sat down with my GW mag, happy Saturday night everyone

Ita going in the sunny spot in the woods... am goin to get one with fruits this time.... Suggestions!!??? Other half bought hop seeds !!!!! Why I dot know apart from he does do home brew but that's a step further ...... Don't know where he thinks it's going to grow... I did suggest over the garden swing but that's where I'm growing my sprouting sweet peas!!!! We survived the soft play today although I did have to go in and contort myself into silly shapes to get her out once or twice ( beefit being I got to go down the slide!!!) right lo out of the bath!!! It's her 3rd birthday next weekend so much planning to be done and another birthday cake attempt to be made!!! Laters peeps
Quiet here isn't it without kef! Bet she's enjoying tucking into her curry
Got to cook ( yeah ME cook) on wed for vegetarians. All suggestions considered but lets face it asda do a mean veggie pizza! (I hope im kidding). Thought roast Sunday veg, then some ready meal thing I can throw in the oven ???
Rain still hammering down here, hope tomorrows better!
What about a nutcutlet? There are loads of good veggie meals to make, or put a spin on a regular dinner and substitute Quorn for meat. And make it for everyone
Does it need to be a posh dinner MrsGarden or just a dinner? We love Quorn chilli, with lots of veg in and smoked paprika, the Quorn just soaks up the flavours. Or I have a lovely Lawrence De Lagglio (spelling??) recipe for stuffed peppers Italian style I love veggie food but not a veggie, about to tuck into sirloin steak tonight
Stacey, I'm planing my LO's birthday too.......sleepover for 5 boys for 13th birthday.....arghhhhh
I do like a veggie stew, potatoes leeks onions swede turnips and carrots.I always add an old steel hammer head, when it's soft I know the stews ready to eat.
