  • Verdun I think you have to watch tradesmen these days. Lucky enough my plumber has been working for me for 8 years now and I trust him enough not to have to watch him he's a perfectionist!!! ( he did my bathroom a 4 day job he quoted on turned out to be 10 days ((at no xtra ££)) cause he wasn't happy lol!!!!

Our builder should be popping round this afternoon for cake and consultation - we've got a list of odd jobs that need doing - and I may rope him in to help OH with the pond - those tree roots are getting beyond a joke and OH has other things he must be doing.

Good morning, had rain overnight and now sunny, 4C.

Blackbirds are running around and pulling up my worms. Someone had chopped at my tulips overnight so slug protection from now on.

Lovely pot display Fairy, bet Fidget could make us all one with her pot breaking skills.image

Fidget, please let us know that you are okay. I haven't got your bee. Will feed Brugmansia with tom food.

Morning all. Cloudy, raining. Wonder if my dressage lesson will be cancelled? My horse was terrified of a cute red squirrel out riding yesterday!

I know Stacey.  I never pay until I am totally satisfied with the work.

We had an extension built on our house in France some years ago and were not happy with some of it and they had overrun by 5 months because they kept not turning up, then they charged us more when we had a written contract with money and time limits. So, on advice from a notaire, we didn't pay the last bills. The builders took us to court. It took 8 years, French courts are incredibly slow. We won, but my first husband was no longer there then as he died from a heart attack.
