My neighbour has sown green manure seeds from the Internet to cover a plot that she will not use over the winter
? Any thoughts or experiences please

Good idea, supresses weed growth and improves your soil.
I have sown some winter rye to help improve the soil and also to keep the cats off what would otherwise be bare earth
Is it too late to sow? I have a small veg patch the soil is very sandy as it is mainly top soil. I really want to get ahead for next year. Any suggestions? Next year I would like to grow spuds tomatoes and courgettes there.
