I have ivy growing in my hedge, willferns grow there as well?

Not sure what you mean? are you asking if ferns will grow under a hedge?Don,t quite understand the connection between ivy and ferns growing.Could you be a bit more specific.
Ferns generally like moisture and shade. If you want to have ferns, just provide those conditions for them and they will be happy.
