Decking lighting spacing

Hi

any opinions on the spacing required for decking lights please, I a sure it's very subjective anyway, deck is rear of house 10.5m wide x 3m deep, slats running away from house on the 3 m dimension.

i was thinking of approx 850mm spacing but does anyone feel that's too spaced out.  I am looking at the low voltage lights approx 50 quid for 10

thanks

Surely it depends on how brightly you want it to be lit.

Are they going on the surface of the deck Grant and along just one length? Your deck sounds about the same dimensions as a previous one I had - almost exactly in fact. I think they may be too far apart to be honest but if you have other lighting and just want them as an  extra it may be fine. I'd say they should be about 30 or 40 cm apart if they're low voltage as they won't be too bright.
