Samphire or not to samphire?

I have a plant growing out of concrete in abundance from the front of the house. It's totally green, doesn't seem to flower and it's pretty tough. It kind of looks like samphire, only it wouldn't as easily snap as samphire and it is skinnier. It pops up everywhere! Any ideas?

Mares tail I bet....
I'll agree on marestail. I bet it doesn't taste like samphire, which you would only find growing in seamarsh/brackish areas.
