Replacement windows

What would these window installers do with the old windows that were taken out of houses? Are they just thrown away? Is that possible to get them from a restoration firm for free?

    go and ask one of the firms Joshua, but I would expect so. Try a small firm where you can speak to the boss.

    My mate owns a window company and he is always happy to doll out old windows as it saves on scrap costs! My new cold frame is being built courtesy of him

    Look on Freecycle.

    iv just had a well known welsh co do some d/g windows and they informed me that most old windows get CUT out and get damaged on most jobs as its quicker to do it that way, so all the ones you would expect to be available quite often are are now rubbish wot a waste.
