Morning all ,last nite a gardener mate brought me 2 large elephant garlics But i im moving to a new allotment that might not be in good nick and i wont have time to start on it till after xmas So, the question is ,,is there a way i can keep them till oct Next year or will they dry or wither, i could just do a quick plant and hope for the best but i,d rather not, how long can i store them please

You cant keep it till next november(2014)
Try planting it in a pot of gritty compost and plant out when you're ready.
Yes Alan, put it in a large pot and leave it in a corner. It will grow there happily till you are ready for it. I grow it but it is not as strong in flavour as the smaller varieties.
