Some of the blackcurrant bushes in our garden have developed what looks like white pine rust
Any suggestions how to get rid of it?

Very hard to treat since the spores are carried by wind, water and insects. I'm affected by rust and control it by removing any infected plant, as soon as I see it. I have a weed, Groundsel which appears to be a host plant. By keeping this weed in check minimises the damage to other plants.
Good housekeeping and cleaning/desinfecting of all tools and footware is very important too.
