  • I have several gooseberry bushes but have no idea how to prune them, could you advice please.
  • my torbay palm was frozen and now the 20ft beuty is bent over with all it's leaves falling to the ground. Can it be saved or should i cut it down ???
  • Would love to start things in the garden but we still have freezing temperatures and frost here in Scotland so it's far too early. I'm going to try to start on the greenhouse instead which is a bit of a mess.
My experience of planting seeds early has always been a disaster whether due to lack of light or high temperatures so I'll have to be patient!
  • Can the team let me know when gardeners world will be back on the telly? I loved watching it on friday nights after a week of working and college!!! The team give u great tips especially Carol Kline!!!

    Regards
  • Olive does not look happy, but hey spring will soon with us, so hope the fallen leaves don't mean death.Look forward to Monty Don welcome back.
  • gardeners world will be back on 11th March but without the down to earth and super likeable Toby and the happy when hands dirty Alys. we can look forward to a diet of veg growing and banging on about 'organic' gardening which i aspire to but it's very dispiriting when your modest plot is attached by an army of voracious pests. we don't all have rolling acres!
  • Spring is definitely on the way as I was joined by TWO robins on my broom when i went out to clear some of the sodden leaves off my crazy paving this morning. When robins pair up spring is not far behind.
  • Where has Monte Don gone?????

Oh my evergreen plants have lost most of thier leaves im hopefull I didn't loose them to the frost, spent many years growing them!!! Have started working on our greenhouse should be built soon!! looking forward to sowning seeds, hopefully we are sucessful, Wish the frost would go away!!
  • im,trying to train my climbing rose around an arch. i know im to keep the main stem as horizontal as possible but what about the stems that grow from that.Have they also got to be kept same or not?
  • Spring is springing in Peterborough, I've seen the collared doves in the garden searching thro straw on top of my theoretical veggie patch, with a 'nesting' look in their eyes. The 7ft tall yucca which lay down almost horizontal in the subzero temps is back to its original angle and the daffs are 3 inches high!
