Junior Gardeners World
Hello, just to make it clear that I am Erica Ward and I DO help my son run this website...it is perfectly legitimate - Harry loves gardening and has just achieved an RHS Silver medal so he is not misleading anyone at all. We are a family who do things together and there is no intention to mislead. We have never ignored posts on the site and try to engage as many people as possible - we also have a Facebook page which we both run. Hope that this helps to clear up any confusion as I notice there is some discussion about us misleading and pretending to be something we are not. this is not the case.

Not this website I think
The discussion you're referring to took place at the beginning of this year
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Ha ha, no this website isn't ours!! Sorry, I know it's a bit late but believe it or not I chanced upon the comments through another site. Wish that someone had sent me a message to ask me about Harry's site first...seems unfair that we can be talked about before we had chance to respond. He's really hurt by the comments and so am I...we are not all predators and / or adults posing as kids!
And the discussion was about the advisability or not of having a children only gardening section, and your site was mentioned as an example - the thread then evolved, as threads often do, into a conversation about the perils of the internet for the unwary and vulnerable.
If Harry's hurt by the discussion then that's a shame - I imagine he's quite a savvy young person and is well aware of the perils of the internet so understands that it's wise to warn people to check things out before getting involved.

Many thanks and I agree completely with your coments about the dangers of the internet but the discussion was very unfair....the website IS what it seems..mum and child doing something together and my name should not have been used in this context......the "research" was clearly not correct... see below...
"The website also tries to give an impression that it is the work of some kiddy 'Harry'. "I’m Harry and I’d like to welcome you to my website.... The ideas are all mine A little bit of research reveals that website is not what it seems to be. It is in fact owned by one Erica Ward. "
It's unpleasant to be misjudged but surely inevitable if you put yourself out there on the web for all to see. Some will love your (or any other) website, some hate it and some be suspicious of it.

Sorry Erica, But I have absolutely no idea what website you are on about.
...and of course the website is in my name....Harry is 14 and fortunately knows that its wrong to use his mums credit card on the internet or otherwise!
Thanks nutcutlet, yes, you are right and I expect comments - positive and negative - but it would be nice if the facts were right before certain people posted for all to see!!
And sorry, fidgetbones, it's a site my son and I (legitimately) created called Junior Gardeners World so he could share his gardening journey as he took part in the BBC Gardeners' World Show at the NEC...at least Carol likes the site!
Anyway, sorry guys just wanted to set the record straight, will let you all get back to gardening talk! Thank you
Congratulations to Harry on winning a silver medal. I am sure there are many people who will be quick to criticise, but are not capable of achieving something like that, with or without help.
Its a sad world, but in Britain, anyone who excels, and pops their head above the parapet, as it were, will be the first to be knocked down. (sorry about the mixed metaphors) As a nation , we do not seem able to praise those who do well, just drag them all down to a level of mediocrity.
