Flowering Currant - Ribes Sanguineum

In my garden I have two Flowering Currant shrubs (Ribes Sanguineum) which are regularly pruned but all the leaves seem to have a brown tinge on them. Im not sure whether I have pruned them wrong or whether I have overwatered them. does anyone know what might be wrong ?

Mine always get like that towards the end of summer. I like the early flowers, 'White Icicle' particularly, but they really don't have much beauty after that. Back of the border shrubs to be hidden later
