Japanese anemones

I have two lovely japanese anemones but am wondering if I should remove old flower heads and stalks. These look nice left on but if it would encourage more flowers then I would cut them off.

    Mine haven't even started yetimage

  • I usually compromise and deadhead some but also leave some flower heads on! Maybe that's the answer.

  • Oh dear, Chicky I hope they start soon! You'll have some nice colour well into autumn then.

  • Mine was planted in June and no flowers yet but there are buds. My farther leaves his but I have noticed he only gets the one flush of flowers with this method, a waste I think!! I will def leave the last few flowers when I get them hoping for some self down gems
