what plant to plant?
Can anyone help please? We have a nice new border to plant up and are looking for a plant to suit a particular spot.
The border is 6 x 6 feet and is east facing. The soil is acid and it is a sunny area. Ideally we would like an evergreen but not essential and medium height so won't spoil the view. Maybe a small tree?
The theme of the garden is grasses, elder, mallows, buddleia etc., so prairie type wildlife friendly plants.
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Acid soil, so magnolia, camellia, azalea, rhododendron, hamamelis.
More wildlife friendly would be one of the purple elders such as black lace.
Thanks Fidget. Hamamelis is a possible. We already have an aeder and magnolia and have just removed the others as they don't really fit with the theme.
Thank you Verdun, sounds great.
