We have a large spear thistle in our garden which has attracted many bees. However today after days of activity we found about a dozen bees still on the thistle all dead. Any ideas as to why?
If you can find an area in which to grow ivy, do try it. Insects of ALL kinds love it( birds too) and on a sunny day in our plot the ivy is so popular that one would swear that bees were swarming, the noise they make is so tremendous.
