lysimachia-punctata

Hello everyone,

My Lysimachia punctata have finished flowering for the season and are now just tall green but barren plants. Do I need to cut them back now? Or just leave them to die off on their own? I've had a scout on the internet but can only find out about pruning. Help please, thank you.

Hi Heather image you can pretty much do what you like with them. They are very vigorous and hard to kill off so if you want to cut back go ahead!

I've cut mine half back so the flowers are all cut off, compromise as wasn't sure either.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Thanks addict. My mission for next weekend is now to cut them back. I guess you can be a bit more ruthless now Busy-Lizzie if you get the urge image
