  • i have a wasps nest currently being built in my allotment shed. didn't have heart to remove it as its such a beautiful structure. trying to move tools to green house under cover of dusk. only previous experience of wasps nest was in the garden and they were very aggressive so we did get rid... not my favourite course of action tho'. let u know how we get on!
  • I have a wasps nest in the apex of my roof the entrance is outside the house but I can see a football sized nest in between the beams close to the outside. Not sure about pest control as do not want a loft full of dead wasps to deal with and I am hoping they will just go away. My only concern is for when it gets hot and they are after food and drinks and I have heard if you kill one in the flight path they let off pheromones and the other wasps will attack. My concern is for my two children aged 7 and 5. HELP
  • im quite wary of wasps, But i think I might go in a state of panic if i found someone trying to reason with them :o/
  • Hello,

We have a wasp's nest under the eaves. They enter through an air-brick. I can hear loads of them in the cavity above the ceiling. They are out of the way, and there are no kids to look out for. I have been stung once - because I was painting the eaves & I got too close. My inclination is to leave them alone, but my problem is, are they doing any damage to the house? If they are not, then they can carry on. Can anyone tell me whether they are benign or malign, only as concerns the fabric of the house? Thank you.
  • There was a wasps nest in my garden the year before last and although there were lots of wasps about when I was gardening nearby, they never bothered me. I was only stung once and that was because I did not spot one who was on the hose when I gripped it. Live and let live I say.

    I suspect an add here.

We don't all want to kill things Jenee, wasps are good pollinators.

Has anyone found an anti-advertiser spray?

    In the sticks near Peterborough

Just to let others know that the potential advert post has been removed which now makes the above post appear nonsensical.
