grow-bags

in Fruit & veg
As grow bags tend to be a lot cheaper towards the end of the year I was wondering do they keep or have a sell by date?
I was just thinking about saving a few pounds for next year.
Thanks

The worst thing that could happen is any slow-release fertilizer they may contain could become less effective. However, as none of them contain enough food for more than 6 weeks growth, all you may have to do is start feeding a few weeks earlier than normal. I have kept bags of multi-purpose compost (which is essentialy the same stuff as in grow bags) in storage for 2 years and had absolutely no problems whatsoever.
That was another thing I meant to ask, Are grow bags the same as multi-purpose compost bags... as I can buy them cheaper than growbags...
Thanks for that Bob
You must keep them dry or all the fertilizer will leach out over winter.
