House moving is traumatic at the best of times amd being homeless must be awful. I hope you've got a good garden to work on at the end of it all

    1. Not a tree.

    Not a juvenile tree.

Leaves and flowers are completely wrong for a Horse chestnut!

It is a late flowering shrub called Clethra.

It should have a spike of flowers on the end of every branch.

    A nice shrub.

    I like them.

You sure Silver surfer? Leaves look wrong. Too long and narrow for Clethra? imageFinch when thay come out smell them if Clethra should be scented. And Hi Silver don't believe we have met image

Sorry posted answer above.. went to add a link and message lost.

    Hi Addict,

I am 99.9% sure that the leaves in pic one match Clethra.

    There are several sp.

If you Google "Clethra leaves" you will see what I mean.

I tried to add it as a link last time... and messed up!

  • Silver surfer, thank you so much. That looks exactly what it is. I havent noticed any scent yet, but flowers are out quite yet.

Any ideas on the other 2? x
