Plant or weed

Is this a weed? Hoping it might be a Trollus I planted in the autumn but can't quite remember where!

Thanks B3. Gutted it's not the Trollus, which I have still to find. Gutted too about the forum.

It's either a pleed or a want, your choice.

I knew I've planted a small sage bush in the garden - somewhere. I found it the other day.  I hope you're lucky too  😊

Looks like a buttercup to me. @B3 has deleted her answer.

That's what I'd said but then I wondered if the trollus might be related so I deleted just in case. @Busy-Lizzie

Thanks for your responses. I've hoiked it out. Hope to now find the Trollus.

Trollius species are related to buttercups @Busy-Lizzie and @Busyliz. I would have saved the plant in a pot until it revealed itself.

I might do that ladybird. It had morphed into 3 plants and was a bu**er to dig up!

I thought Trollius leaves were deeper cut and smoother and shinier than buttercups.
