What? Have they removed my Odd Humour thread? I can't believe that...the place is closing down, the thread had been there for a while, and it just vanishes?

Edited to add:Not that I wanted it - but someone had posted a comment on it, so I used the EMail link they send and the link in the mail couldn't find it.

    The EMail I received showed what was posted and it was totally innocuous - not sure why 'they' decided to delete the thread. Maybe this one will go as well - or maybe this forum is turning into the Cheshire Cat?

    Just in case this offends and the thread gets deleted.

    They have been talking about war memorials to muslims. Why? I have nothing against muslims, Christians, Jews, Buddhists....whatever. What I don't follow is why we have to split out race, gender,religion or whatever in a war memorial.
    Why doesn't it just say:
    To all the poor ba***rds who died fighting in the .....whatever war?
    ...and To all the poor civilians who died as a consequence of that war...

    I feel for all the Germans who died in WWI/II - it was ([is] the leadership to blame and not necessarily the people who actually fight. Are all Russians bad? Ukrainians?

    Didn't even the white hatted British execute their own soldiers for refusing to fight?

    Seems a bit late in the day to remove threads tho with only a few more days to go before anyone will be able to post anything - oddist or not.

    ...ooooh 'oddist' - I can add that to my collection of 'ists' I hide in the dark recesses of my warped mind.... I wonder how rare it is as an 'ist/ism' and if I could trade it in for two or three others I had my eye on?

    Oddist is probably quite rare so please do store it away well hidden. Can’t go writing about it or mentioning too frequently or it’ll become non-oddist and then where would we be. We need oddism.

    Putin won the Russian election - who'd have thunk that? What a turn up for the books...

    All we need now is Trump in power and Boris back on the campaign trail.
