I think you might find that many forumites loath Facebook and will not have anything to do with it.

I don't actually loathe FB, I am a member of a couple of groups for specific holiday locations.  Apart from any other problems with FB I find it virtually impossible to find posts I'm looking for.  It certainly doesn't work in the way any forum I've been a member of does.
Somebody on FB actually once claimed I must be troll because I don't have hundreds of 'friends' on there.  My response of 'all my friends on FB are real friends' didn't go down very well. :D

I'm a member of a few well run private facebook groups, rudeness isn't tolerated. I don't post much otherwise. My 'friends' are real friends or people I've met in the groups, there aren't many. Facebook is what you make it, mine is peaceful, concerning only gardens and wildlife

I don't do Facebook. It's not so much about loathing it, I just don't see any need to use it.

I like both of the above!

All of the gardening groups on FB are so polite and friendly. People seem to behave a bit better when posting under their real names lol.

From time to time I look at My Gardening World on Facebook. It really is quite dreadful, tainted especially by fake A1 photos of gardens that are met with squeals of delight from the clientèle. I try to rattle their cage by pointing out they’re praising something that doesn’t exist but I might as well feed strawberries to dogs. The gullibility and lack of critical thinking shines a light on why Brexit happened and why Trump was elected.

Fartbook  is just that, hot air with no direction. But worse still a data harvesting place as pointed out by a few here already.... I'm not a luddite ex-IT over 30 years in all aspects and know when to avoid/take care...
Yorkshire, ex Italy and North East coast. Growing too old for it!

Thanks folks, I've joined the plant and wildlife ones.
Unfortunately, I've been on fakebook since before we all realised about data harvesting, so it's too late for me, I'm already ruined. 😄
