If anyone is interested B & M bargains had quite a lot of potted roses in yesterday. various different types but the only variety I can remember was Scarborough Fair. I think they were £5 each or 3 for £12. I only went in for pots for my tomatoes so I didn't buy any as I'm not sure where I would put them. However, there is lo's of room in the front garden, but I don't go in it much as the house backs onto the car park so the back door is the front door iyswim. Also the front garden is very shady, but I might try some there. In particular there is a big old Buddleia that could come out and make a nice space.
Sad to see the news that this forum is closing, so just to say thanks to all contributors on this particular thread over the last 5 or 6 years it's been going.. special thanks to @Nollie who has been with me here since the beginning, but everyone else too.
We shall just have to share our roses somewhere else.
@Oliya, Gardeners Corner has been suggested by @Perki. I am a member on there but it is much less active than this one. Perhaps we can all go over there and liven it up a bit! https://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/forums/
Oh no! 💔😭 This site was a godsend during lockdown, and even now can be the only conversation I have all day when hubby is at work. Where will I go to ask questions and show my beautiful roses ? The last few years have been a joy to participate in. I hope everyone continues to enjoy this obsession, take care everyone.
Thanks to everyone who has advised on roses on these rose threads. It's certainly shaped how much of my garden is today. I have particularly loved all the photos.
I am very sad about this. I've loved the advice and photos and am so grateful for all those who have helped me with my relatively new love of roses. I doubt I would have more than a handful of roses without all of you. Especial thanks to Marlorena of course but I'll really miss all of you. I will miss the sharing spirit of the rose threads.

Where am I going to look for inspiration and advice on the roses? Does anyone use any other platforms??
