Slugs are absolutely a major problem here with them, whch is another reason I can't be bothered with them. They're easier in containers, which is why I always grew them in those. At least you can do the 'suspending in a tray of water' method if necessary, which can help.

The major predator on strawberries in a previous garden was a large black Labrador who would worm his way under the netting and eat the fruit … he inevitably got his collar tangled in the netting but it didn’t seem to bother him 🙄 😂
@Dovefromabove, we have a Border Collie who likes to harvest her own share of fruit n veg from our allotment, her favourites are strawberries, raspberries and peas, her she is helping herself to strawberries and raspberries 😂😂
