Abeliophyllum distichum aka White Forsythia. Part 2

RubytooRubytoo Posts: 1,630
A little update on the post I made in September last year.
https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/1077554/abeliophyllum-distichum-aka-white-forsythia/p1

Our Abeliophyllum despite flowering in September has sorted itself out and flowered its little socks off through February.
Despite the horrible constant wet and sometimes very windy weather it seems quite happy, still in a pot for now.

It does look better bare stemmed and the flowers seem a little bigger than the initial ones.
I have lost my sense of smell a bit, but my other half says it smells nice.

So thanks for all the past comments and help previously.
I think if you want something a little different, and like the understated, the very dainty airy branches and flowers are well worth having.

And as an aside I was pretty impressed it gave us two lots of flowers in five months.

    @Dovefromabove
Alas . Sorry no,  it has finished now. I should have written in the past tense .
I was thinking about it  (photos), but due to the horrible wet weather I did not do more than a dash around in wellies over the past few weeks to admire things like this and winter Clems and Daphne etc.
Doubt I could have done it justice anyway.

But look on the previous thread at Silver surfers images....Ours looked like those :)

I will try to make an effort and remember to do it next year....If we are all still here >:)

Thanks @rubytoo … it’s a while since I’ve seen one ‘in the flesh’ so to speak. They’re so pretty.
    🤞 for next year 😊

    Apologies @Dovefromabove
Sorry  I will not be able to keep my promise of a photo next year.
I hate to be made a liar of.

How prophetic ...I should have kept my mouth shut. Paranoid... not  :)
    It wasn't me :*
