Another feeder question

I have standard seed hanging feeders for sunflower hearts, but the seeds keep clumping and get stuck, so the birds can't get to them until I go out and tap them down. I tried putting a stone on the seeds but it didn't work. This happens even when the feeders are dry. I don't remember it happening until last year.
Any ideas on a fix, or am I just a perpetual feeder tapper forever?

That's odd, Slow-worm.  The sunflower hearts occasionally clump in our feeder, but only when we have diagonal drizzle...  sorry, no ideas, unless you've changed your supplier?

I find they can stick a bit to the inside of the feeders, but I put it down to the feeder getting damp inside. They do get damp even when in a sheltered site here.
If I see a gap between the bit at the bottom and the higher amount, I just go and shake the feeder and usually top it up at the same time.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
