Cherry plum - split trunk

This happened in early winter 22-23. The tree seems fine now, but didn't fruit last year. Is it going to be ok?  should I fleece it or use Arbor sealant?

Neither. I would just wait and see what happens. If it happened back in 2022/23 then there's hope it will survive, not sure about the fruiting aspect and I don't know what might have caused that, looks a bit strange.

Early winter 2022 was very wet followed by a freeze, I had the same problem with a Cotoneaster horizontalis. Sady the part were it split was died as spring approached, it was very old too which didn't help.

Your photo shows a plant that has survived. Woody plants can often cope with wounds and survive, however it can also take years for a tree to die.
Fingers crossed, I think it has every chance and I hope you are able to post a photo of the blossom.
