It's nearly time!

It's getting close to that time again isn't it? The next few weeks and months will be full of "oh, that's dead", "blimey  that's come back!" and "oh! I'd forgotten I planted that!" 😄

And, “wow! Cutting down and carting away a huge pile of bamboo canes was a great deal harder than I expected”.
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

    and,
"Why did you cut that down (dig that up) while I was having my snooze?"

    and
"Thank you for doing that, while I couldn't!"

The under gardener went out side our fence to cut back a “ wild”  buddleia growing in the field and against our fence. Then I get a phone call. He had overbalanced on the slope fell caught the wheelbarrow handle fell flat and crashed down on side …. He did get rescued and we got him on his feet..bruised but not cracked ribs….well that’s the undergardener out of action for a while. We were just saying how pleased we were with what we’d achieved in these last few dryer/not so cold days in NE England. Gardening you can’t make it up.
