Cuphea - Tiny mice plant

I have overwintered a Cuphea in a pot. The stems are long and straggly but showing new growth. How far back should I prune it and could I use the trimmings as cuttings?

I have not grown this plant, but in general terms, cutting back to lower healthy growth should be fine and will encourage the plant to bush out a bit.  And, yes, the bits you cut off should make good cuttings material.  I've just done exactly this with a lobelia cutting I took last autumn that was growing ever upwards and unable to support its height.

    Good luck. 🙂
