    Thanks, @Plantminded I've taken a look at these suggestions, very helpful. Think rosemary might fit the bill

    Lonicera nitada is a very easy plant.  No pests or diseases, very easy to clip into shape, clothes itself in leaves all over from the ground up. ✅  Ilex Crenata might work, though it is very slow growing.

    You’re welcome @Janie B. Rosemary does need sun and good drainage to do well. I grow a variety called Miss Jessop’s Upright which is recommended for hedging, but there are others. Have a look at some of the online hedging suppliers’ websites for more details. (Note of caution, there is a Rosemary beetle, but I’ve never seen one!)
