... I saw one recently, talking about 'serious weather conditions coming in' somewhere or other, and then they said there could be 'a couple of centimetres' of snow. You'd barely even notice that!  :D

Two flakes count as a white-out these days! 😂
    Quite!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I think one reason for the 'serious weather' warnings is that in areas unused to snowfall people don't know how to drive in snow and don't have the right tyres to do so safely.
When I bought my last car the tyres that it came with were useless on frost, let alone snow and were quickly replaced by all weather ones. I wish I could have replaced it with my first car too, a little Suzuki jeep with rugged tyres that would take me anywhere in any weather.

The daffodils aren't especially early, nor were the snowdrops, in south Norfolk. I've looked at photos of previous years and it all looks about normal for the season. Nothing unusual is out here. Other gardens have some flowering prunus but it's the variety with little pale pink flowers that always flowers early.

I have been surprised by photos of roses on the Rose Thread and how advanced some people's are.

We had some fairly hard frosts and down to -5C in January. Loads of rain since then.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

@Busy-Lizzie my prunus Kojo-no-mai is in full flower in it's pot. It's only about a foot tall!
