When I become the world's leading authority on Corydalis, I will let you all in on the secret of getting the blue ones to thrive. 😂

I have a blue / purple corydalis which is doing well , its up already and starting to spread . I got it from farmyard nurseries I am sure its called Blue Heron flowers on and off throughout spring / summer. Afternoon shade dug in plenty organic matter .

I did try blue porcelain but that were a poor plant and soon snuffed it .

That looks lovely, @Perki.  I think that could be a cross between omeiana and flexuosa, rather than an elata, due to its long flowering season.  Does it have a scent like gardenia flowers?

There is a book on them "Bleeding Hearts, Corydalis and their relatives" by Mark Tebbitt. Magnus Liden and Henrrik Zetterlund.
    Makes fascinating reading.

I have a deep mauve Corydalis, built along the lines of C. ophiocarpa with red tinged edges to young leaves. I think it's C. cava but a computer has eaten all my records so I can't be sure

@ViewAhead C solida George Baker is brick red and the other form of solida is a soft purple colour, I have only ever known it as C solida.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Ahh, if only Elata would do that!

Thank you, @GardenerSuze.  I have never grown the solida ones.

I am taking the plunge and buying a Craigton Blue and I have sent a message to an ebay seller re the book @Palustris recommended. 👍
