Viburnum

After moving into our new home, lots of work to do on an obviously once lovely garden, we are finding lots of small plants in pots. Am I correct in thinking this is a Viburnum? Thinking of potting it into a statement pot to go on the patio. Thank you.

Skimmia , unpredictable / sulks  plant prefers the more shaded areas - acidic soil.

I agree with @Perki, it’s not a plant for a statement pot. Best in a shaded border for winter interest.
    Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

You may have identified it as a Viburnum tinus,  which would more fulfill your statement plant in a pot objective.
  • Thank you for your replies 😊 how can I tell if it’s a skimmia or vibernum tinus? What should I be looking for to identify it?

    Agree Skimmia sp.

Viburnum tinus have opposite leaves...see pics below
In my opinion it is not suitable for a pot being rather large.

Below are Viburnum tinus and Viburnum tinus French White.

    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .
  • Thank you 😊 will leave in its current pot we found it in and then when we’ve had a good sort out of the garden will plant out in a suitable spot 😊
