    That’s lovely @fire!

Not everyone's cup of tea - but it makes me very happy. Fgmns are, at least, native.
  • @bcpathome, that's a lovely idea. Would you mind if I borrowed it?

I have a big patch given as seeds at a friends funeral ,I’d never pull them up .

I gave out seeds at my dad's funeral too. Some of mine are from those seeds, generations down the line. You can get empty personalised packets cheaply and add your own seeds or buy personalised packets containing seeds.

I got a packet at a funeral once but I gave it away. I had more than enough already. At first I thought it was a book of matches. What a strange idea,I thought. The forget me nots were a nice idea, though.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

This year I am keen to try Chinese fgmns (Cynoglossum) which are summer flowering annuals. And also water fgmns  (Myosotis scorpioides) in my mini ponds. All three sets of petals might be good for creating botanical dyes.

It seems the consensus is to go with them. Thanks everyone, I just wanted to be sure I wouldn’t regret it.

I really like forget me nots but  I just cannot grow them. Tried and tried but they fade away, don’t spread, don’t regrow. I have two small pots of some seeds on the go for another try this year but don’t hold out any hope. I d be glad if I was successful and they spread around the garden. My mother had a garden full of them and they were a beautiful sight.
