Cordyline problem

Leaf discoloration, any suggestions?

    It could be due to a number of things, the size of the container, the soil medium, when it was last repotted, overwatering, location, climate. Cordylines are really not happy in containers after a couple of years. If you can find a location in the ground it will be better. The red ones are always a bit sickly looking in my opinion. Your Phormium looks very good though!

  • In habitat cordylines have a taproot roughly as deep as the plant is tall. I'd recommend planting it in the ground if you can.

  • Mine looked like they were dying last year but seem to have picked up on their own. Might think about putting them in the soil this year.
