French lavender

This potted French lavender is getting woody towards the back and base, any advice would be appreciated- I am assuming it’s the less sunny side but would rotating the pot help at this stage? Does it need a prune?

Yes, it does need a prune to keep it neat. Cut a third to half the leafy stems off, taking care not to cut into the old wood. Do it in the spring, still a bit too early now.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
