Pruning roses and fusicas

I think now is the time to prune my roses and fuchsias.
My roses has start budding very well.
My fuchsias show no sign of budding.
For the fuchsias, should I cut down to the ground, or leave 30 cms above the ground.
Should I also add bone and fish fertilizer - or is this too early to add fertiliser.

Yes, prune your roses. I've done mine. You can feed them too, March is good for rose feeding as well. I feed mine with a rose fertiliser as it will have the extra minerals that roses need.

I assume they are hardy fuchsias. It is still a little early. I cut off the old stems when I can see the tiny new growth at the bottom. They are later than roses to get going. The bone and fish fertiliser will be fine for them.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
