Agree with Fairygirl - my Montana grows up through a very tall conifer and may tree and then along the back fence of our garden. It is over 23 years old, it was here when we moved in and every year, we get a fantastic display. The trunk is huge.

Yes - there isn't enough room on that wee bit of wall for a montana. It will want to spread all along that fence as well @zakzak.
