I love all this stuff too, but maths always got the better of me. I have tried reading some of the books by Brian Greene, who it's said follows on from Stephen Hawking's geat writing. Well it took me 3 goes to read brief history of time and thought it made sense when I read it but couldn't possibly explain most of it to anyone else. I've not manage to get to then end of any of the Brian Greene books (yet). On a more mundane note, it seems that Voyager 1 really may be coming to the end. Apparently the data coming from it has been garbled for some time, its already using a backup computer but it sounds like that's failing too. Given these two pluckey little craft were only designed to last about 10 years and they have both been going nearer 50, it seems a shame. Apparently V1 is so far away it takes about 38 hrs to send and recieve messages. Providing they don't collide with anything there's nothing to stop them travelling till the end of time and space as we know it!!
