CAMELLIA Days of Joy

I have a Camellia Dr King Japonica.  I planted it according to the information on the information card, i.e Requires a light sheltered position, fertrilise
moderately.  I planted it in Autumn 2022, staked it, fertilised it the next year, with ecanchica granules,  March and June.  The position is against a fence and gets the sun mid afternoon.  Last year it didn't flower.  It is very healthy and growing well.  At the moment I can see any buds.  Please advise me.  Does it need a new position?

I have just written about my Camellia Days of Joys, there is a mistake I CANNOT SEE ANY BUDS. sorry
  • Camellias set their blooms in early summer so if they go a bit dry during that time or in the autumn they drop their buds..I wonder if that's what happened to yours. Another issue could be if the soil is alkaline, no matter how much ericaceous feed you give them if the soil isn't on the acidic side of the spectrum, they won't do well.
