@greatnorthernexotic Not sure why your post has been flagged. I welcome your input on all exotic plants. A subject where I very little knowledge.
I'd welcome more posts too @greatnorthernexotic!

Posts do get Flagged sometimes for no obvious reason.  If it is only 1 Flag, I suspect it is usually the same person each time - reason unknown.  Either that or someone jumped the gun and assumed you were advertising ?
I agree with @GardenerSuze and @Plantminded - more posts would be welcomed as West Yorkshire isn't an area which automatically springs to mind when discussing "exotics"  :)

Who owns the bottom fence. Unless it is yours, you can't raise the height, paint it,add trellis or even grow plants requiring supports up it. My old friends on here, are aware of my fencing neighbour issues (solicitors involved) you are indeed lucky if both neighbours have paid for new fencing

Senior moment, clicking the flag rather than like button?
"What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbour".

    That's definitely a possibility too  :D

I've often thought that a link in a signature line might trigger an enthusiastic flagger too 😊!

I am a bit late to the party, but what about using an obelisk with a climber in the border in front or offside to hide the worst offending post.
Something with a square profile or you can get obelisks with a large orb, or kind of imagine a hanging basket shape on top upside down, that would disguise it.

And at the bottom of the garden the trees are quite close to the fence. Using large wide rose arches in the bed and slightly forward of the fence would give a bit more height and if carefully placed hide your neighbours window. Using something like that would draw the eye away from the obvious and hide it a bit without making it too oppressive for your neighbour at the bottom.
And being slightly forward of the fence makes it taller from the perspective to you further up the garden without being too tall or adding too much bulk compared to trees and shrubs.

There are a lot of options out there, round, square, wood or metal.
As you have a nice design with angles you can get "square" arches too.

Not sure what depth you have but if you like that idea you can do some measuring up and see what is available or make your own.
